My MacBook update

I am currently loving the Apple downloads I have on my MacBook. Yay! One of those is the AOL Radio. I used to listen to it all the time when I had my Windows desktop because it came with the AIM chat client. I also used Yahoo!’s Launch. Now, neither AIM nor YM on my MacBook have live radio plugins. MacBook uses it’s own client, iChat, to connect to AIM (because AIM for Macs is stuck in the past) and YM’s version for Macs is really stripped off; no IMVironments, Audibles and other plugins. So it sometimes gets really boring without any music playing while I’m working or surfing the net. All my music files are on my Windows partition which I rarely use.. but anyway, that’s how I ended up downloading AOL Radio. I like how it alerts you on what song is playing next, who the artist is and it also shows the album art if available. It’s really smooth how they do that. One thing that bugs me though is that big AOL “drawer” that sits stupidly on the program’s interface. I have no idea what it’s supposed to do or for. My only guess is that AOL wants the users to remember they are using their service. And you can’t close it, hide it or anything. I’ve tried, but it always springs back to place. =P Continue reading ‘My MacBook update’
