Domain

I made my first website out of boredom, and maybe because I was excited about the internet. Later, I realized that more and more kids/teens were putting up their own “personal” website and I quickly made website friends. Then blogging started to become popular. At first it was mainly used to post “updates” on your website, then it turned into this journal keeping phenomena. Livejournal, Xanga, Diaryland, Pitas, etc were the craze. Haha!

I think I was around 15 when I had my first domain and I remember naming it StrawberryShake.Net because at the time I was registering for it, I was drinking a strawberry milkshake. My second domain name’s Nunuh.com because I didn’t have a name picked and originally it was going to be nonono.com, but that was taken, and so were other stupid words I tried, until Nunuh… and it made sense since I used to take pics and say “NOoo” except I say it with a Bisaya accent.. so NEWWW.. AHAHAHA!!!

And I know most people read it as nanah. Whatever. It’s not even a word so they may pronounce it however they please. But that doesn’t matter now since it’s a dead domain name. See, I got tired of it, plus I wanted a fresh start. The challenge again was figuring out a name. I tried a handful but AnotherSunshine.com was the only one I liked that was available.

Now, giving meaning behind the name: because my website is basically for my incomplete rough skimming journalesque documentation of my life, and my nickname’s Sunshine… then it kind of is another me. Not very complete and will never be, but still it is me. The stories I put and pictures and all the other goodies. Also, I wanted a nicer domain name if I do want to do more of those sponsored postings. Hehe!

Blabbah blabba blabbbuh!
