New Phone: Sony Ericsson S500i

I like it, but not super duper much. I asked for a Nokia phone but mom didn’t have time to buy one after she got sick so she said I could have this one instead, also after finding out she isn’t used to Ericsson’s GUI, she was more than willing to hand it over. To be fair, it’s a nice looking phone. I wasn’t sure of the yellow toned color at first, but I guess it’s an acquired taste. I also like the fact that I can theme it, animated too, since theming is one of the perks I wanted from Nokia phones. =)

Ayt.

Since the S500i isn’t offered via U.S. carrier, you’ll have to purchase it unlocked at a rather steep price of $359. - CNET

I think they got it for Php 8,000 — that’s around $160. =) Like half of what it retailed for! Pretty cheap, huh? Well it was released last year so that explains the price. ^_^

Apple launches new music players

I am loving the new iPod Nanos.

The iPod Touch got an upgrade too!

Unfortunately, I discovered I’m not the type who needs her music on the go. I’ve tried; I owned two music players and both didn’t go out of the house as I initially thought they would. And basing on my needs (more like wants), a music/movie player is nowhere on top of that list.

I also found it stupid to keep movies with me only to watch it alone and always had no time to finish. I rather that I see it on a bigger screen (uh, television please) with other people around to laugh with and whatnots. Plus, what instance will trigger you to watch a movie on that ‘big’ screen on a teeny device anyway? Boredom? I mean, imagine you have to stare at that screen for at least 90 minutes to finish a feature. I swear you’ll be bored even more! I could not stand it when I did that with my Zune! It was really stupid. It may be good only for the frequent traveller. Actually, I take that back because I don’t know who would want or have a use of watching movies on a teeny screen all by himself.

So anyway, one thing I like about iPod touch is it’s wifi feature. You can surf the web and all that stuff, and I think that is a major plus. You can download apps like games which I think will be a lot more fun than movies. But if I have to choose, I’ll pick a Nano, since I have my MacBook to cover websurfing and Nintendo DS for games. LOL!
