only memories now

I found my old lil notebook journal from the days when I was still with my ex-girlfriend… ahehe! It’s so funny, in a good sweet nostalgic way. It was a mix of me being confused and in love and head over heels and scared and sad and all those other dramatic things that made our relationship cute. HAHA! It made me miss her and all the sweet things she’d do for me. Awww… =)

I liked keeping a paper journal because it served as a scrapbook at the same time. I liked doing that– keeping little trinkets that will remind me of things that happened that day. Look at this:

I laughed so hard when I saw it: wrappers of yema treats from the exGF. Keeping trash is… weird… but… I don’t know. Haha! When you’re in love, you do a lot of corny stuff, diba? Well, maybe it had nothing to do with me being in love. Like I said, I liked to keep things that were part of something that happened that day. I should start doing it again. For a start, I have a couple of those movie tickets somewhere here… =)

Hihi! Another something from my ex. Sweet!!! I love how she did my name in a star and the little reproduction of an ambigram reading I love you and Mahal Kita.

Wow. It’s been over three years since we’ve ended it but we still have this bond. I like how cool we can kid around and talk about it and be okay with the fact that it’s over, and that both of us have this understanding of what we mean to each other now and how we’re keeping it that way. We are no longer complaining why we can’t be together.. it’s just how our story played, or is playing.

But anyway, I have Jake to tickle now. I’ll talk about him next time and how I think it’s another sad story for me. Hihihi!

I came across this contest that is being run by Renuzit TriScents. It is for a fabulous home make-over that is worth a whopping twenty thousand dollars ($20,000)! Who wouldn’t want to win that when it is super easy to join?! Basically, all you need to do is to shoot a short video and write an accompanying essay that will creatively show and explain why you deserve to win a home makeover. The video has a 2 minute length limit and the essay should at least be 250 words long. If you are interested, you should see official rules for the contest.
