DS Lite

Last night, I was ecstatic to see that Walmart.com has new stock of Nintendo DS Lites in Cobalt Blue. I was so happy because I’ve been wanting one for days now. I didn’t right away place an order but saved it on my online cart because I was still debating whether to get it from Amazon (it’s backordered so there is a long wait) or Walmart (but with 2 games as a bundle, that I wasn’t sure I wanted). I was sleepy so I thought I’ll sleep on it and decide when I wake up. But big ugly facting sheet!!! I can no longer place any order because they’re sold out online (sheesh, that was fast, huh?). The nearest Walmart store from here is out of stock too. The next one that has limited stock is too far for me to drive, and it doesn’t help that the car is still with my uncle. DAMNIT!!! Trying to comfort my loss, I thought it’s good that I couldn’t get my hands on one because I easily get bored of my stuff… a bad habit. BUT I REALLY DO WANT ONE! This is the same as wanting a laptop.

I know I can get it in other colors but I have issues. I originally wanted to get white to match my MacBook, but too much white will get monotonous overtime… so for a splash of color, I considered getting pink… but I can already see myself getting tired of the pinkyness, not that I hate the color (hey, pink is cute!), but for a game console it looked too kiddo, like it’s made for little 6 year olds. Well, maybe it doesn’t matter because I’m sure I’ll be playing kiddie games!! HOHOHO! Okay, serious mode; I discovered that most broken hinge problems came from these two colors, so big no nos. The black one looks sturdier but I don’t like the fingerprint smudges it collects on the outside. It’s not a deal breaker but if I’m to go dark, there’s the red and black combo. Since it came out late last year, I thought that Nintendo may have addressed the hinge problem on this model. I feel like newer is better. This is why I want the latest blue color; I feel it’s the most improved version of the batch. Okay, so maybe it’s my imagination telling me. Haha!!

All things considered, I think I’ll get a red/black one. And if by any luck the blue one shows up while I’m within the return and exchange policy, I’ll rush for an exchange. (By the way, Vemsan, you don’t mind I’ll get the same color DS as yours, do you?) Red will match my phone and wallet so I think that part’s cool. =/ It will also sort of match my Zune — NOT! I’m going to sell the Zune by the way. I’ll post more info when I get the time, in case one of you is interested.

PS. Dakota, I’ll send you the zipped file by the end of today. YAY!

Update: I placed my order and hopefully get it early next week. Whoop whoop to the millionth degree! So I bought the Crimson Red and Black Nintendo DS Lite with 2 games bundled and, of course, extended warranty. So if anything bad happens to my console, I can get it repaired, replaced or have my money back. Coolieo! And it’s only $15! I say not a bad deal for a three year coverage. It’s like letting me have the DS for free, IF I end up breaking the thing, which is very possible in that span of 3 years.

Spongebob Squarepants: Atlantis Squarepantis: Video Games Sonic Rush: Video Games
I also bought Brain Age 2.

Fried Mac & Cheese

A good way to make use of leftover mac & cheese…

Needs more cheese though.

I want to go to Cheesecake Factory!!!

(Vemsan, remember we were talking about how to recreate those tasty bastards? TADA I made some!)
