It was because of miscommunication.
We weren’t clear on which day we were to see Nightmare Before Christmas that’s why we got so mixed up. I thought his class field trip was only until 9am that day, not 9pm; he thought I meant we’d see the movie the next day. Well, it’s done and over with.
We saw Into the Wild last night. Great flick, I loved it! I know that the book version will make you think of Christopher McCandless as very annoying and someone who deserved what happened to him, as opposed to the film version which will make you put him on a different level, see him on a different light and actually feel sympathy for his actions, courage and reasons. I sure did!
(The book has 199 active holds; I’m currently the 200th!! Good thing the library has 30 copies.)
Sean Penn did a great job directing and kudos to the cinematographer as well. I also dig the soundtrack done by Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder. And of course, Emile Hirsch did a fantastic job playing McCandless, or, as Chris dubbed himself, “Alexander Supertramp”.
One more thing, my favorite part of the movie is probably the time he spent days with Ron Franz. It was killing me when Mr. Franz proposed he’d adopt Chris and he could be his grandfather, and tears were rolling down his cheeks. It was such a heartbreaker!! *sigh*

Dre, hindi ko napanood yung Stardust kasi hindi ko trip si Claire Danes, ewan ko ba kung bakit. LOL. Pero pag nasa DVD na siguro, kasi… Neil Gaiman yun noh!!! Maganda talaga sya!
